Raw Cacao Raspberry Mousse

While Bio-K+ Kidz Raspberry is great on its own, it's also a fun dessert/after school snack like this raw, vegan, cacao raspberry mousse. Let me tell you this is nothing like the mousse you may remember from your childhood.

Made with chia seeds, Medjool dates, cacao powder, almond milk and Bio-Kidz Raspberry, this mousse contains healthy fats, naturally occurring sugars, antioxidants, nutrients, vitamins, and probiotics - the perfect fuel for little minds after a busy day or as a healthy weekend treat.

This raw cacao raspberry mousse is extremely simple to make, with a total prep time of 10 minutes!

Just add Bio-Kidz, almond milk, cacao powder and chia seeds to a medium glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, shake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. After you have allowed the mixture to chill and set, transfer the contents of the jar into a high-speed blender (in this case a food processor or immersion blender won't work), add Medjool dates and process until smooth. Magic will unfold in front of your eyes as the chia seeds combine with the creamy, caramel sweetness of the Medjool dates to create a dreamy mousse-like texture, without eggs or dairy

No time to make mousse today? No problem. The cacao-raspberry-chia base will keep fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days and is ready when you are to blend up and enjoy.

When it comes time to serve your mousse, the topping possibilities are endless. Try adding fresh raspberries, chocolate chips, nuts, or cacao nibs.

Recipe : Raw Cacao Raspberry Mousse

 

Ingredients :

2 bottles of Bio-Kidz Raspberry

1/4 cup of almond milk

4 tbsp chia seeds

4 tbsp cacao powder

4 Medjool dates, pitted

Fresh raspberries

 

Instructions :

Shake Bio-Kidz bottles well, add to a medium glass jar with a lid along with almond milk, chia seeds and cacao powder. Close tightly, shake for 20 seconds and refrigerate for 4-24 hours.

In a high speed blender, combine soaked mixture with dates and process for 3 minutes or until mousse like texture. Add a splash of almond milk if necessary. Divide among 2 serving bowls, top with raspberries and serve immediately.

 

Tips :

Soaked mixture can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Use only Medjool dates as they are “meaty”.
