Milky Way Mocktini

Milky Way Mocktini

As a mom, I love to unwind after a particularly crazy day with a glass of wine. Motherhood is a never ending roller-coaster ride full of both thrills and chills, so I know that many more restless nights lie ahead.

On some nights, though, it would be great to relax with a tasty drink that doesn’t have a lick of alcohol. Enter my new favorite mocktail – then Milky Way Mocktini. This delicious drink serves a lot of fun and flavor without any booze. Rather than alcohol, a heaping dose of probiotics, which may help to support the immune system, is included to keep gut flora healthy. Bio-K+ probiotics are a great way to load up on viable, 100% live probiotics.

Traditionally, a Milky Way Martini is made with vodka, Irish cream and creme de cocoa, but you won’t miss any of that in my alcohol free version. With the same smooth consistency, rich flavor and real pieces of dark chocolate (sticks or cookie straws are highly recommended), this mocktini will put your mind at ease after a busy day, and may even become a conversation piece with your friends. So send your besties the link to this recipe and set up a mocktini date!

Milky Way Mocktini

Ingredients:

1/2 cup ice cubes

1 bottle of Bio-K+ drinkable dairy probiotic – Original unsweetened

1/4 cup almond beverage or oat beverage

2-3 tbsp maple syrup

2 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp almond butter

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Shaved chocolate, chocolate sticks or cookie straws, for garnish

Instruction:

Add all ingredients in the order listed above in a shaker. Shake well for 30 to 60 seconds.

Strain and pour into a martini glass. If desired, garnish with chocolate shavings, a chocolate stick or a cookie straw. Serve immediately.

Tips:

Use peanut butter instead of almond butter or simply skip the nut butter entirely.
